Interoffice Communication
Staff relations and effective communications are directly related to the success or failure of the dental practice. Accountability, commitment, conflict, and trust-these are essential pieces to a complete team. It is necessary to be able to depend on your teammates, trust, and believe in them. If not, then you can not be the kind of team that ultimately achieves results.
We often like to relate our office teams to sports. It takes more than one person to get to the playoffs. You need offense, defense, and backups. Let's face it, if everyone had their own agenda and just wanted to see their own results, we would be fighting each other for our name on the scoreboard. But together, focused on the same goal together as a team, it becomes difficult for a single person to become the "I" in team, no matter how good they are at their job.
"You learn more about a person in an hour of play than in a lifetime of conversation." - Plato
