We believe that while reports may give you numbers and facts nothing tells us more than being a fly on the wall for a day during in a normal working environment! So we like spending the day in all areas of the practice collecting facts, figures and information before we give you our assessment of how we can help you and your team reach your goals. By interviewing each team member throughout the day and finding out what they believe to be the strength and weakness of practice allows us great insight. (Usually they will enlighten me of interoffice communication problems or staff issues and weaknesses) By talking with the doctor we are able to determine strengths and weakness of the practice and each team member through his eyes, and what his goals are for the practice, after all we are there for a reason and no one knows his practice better than him! Reports are important and tell us a lot, like insurance pending, accounts receivable, unscheduled treatment, this is all money available to practice right now… We want to see fee schedules, procedure codes by category so we can do a fee schedule analysis and insurance code analysis. We want to know are we maximizing our insurance codes to the best of our abilities. What about new patients? Where are they coming from so we can target market? How about dollars diagnosed vs. scheduled on patients? What is our conversion rate? Patient analysis is important when it comes to marketing, what is the average age range? How do we know what kind of marketing to do if we don’t know who our target is? What kind of ROI are we getting on our marketing? This gives us a look into the business side. The fun part is seeing everything through the patients eyes… 30 second impression, communication between staff and doctor, organization, verbiage, cleanliness, smiles, attitudes, passion, excitement, and yes Energy!
